Criterion 6

Trial & Onboarding

A trial that gives you access to three signals over three days is not a meaningful evaluation period. Before you accept a trial offer, confirm what you actually receive: how many live signals, on which models, and whether you can assess signal quality before any charge is made.

What a Good Trial Provides

At least three days of live signal access across the models you are evaluating; no charge until the trial period ends; clear cancellation instructions; enough signal frequency that you can observe real-time entries and exits rather than just reading past performance tables.

Trial Quality Assessment

Factor Good Weak
Length 7 days or longer Under 3 days; or “free signals” with no defined period
Model access Full access to the models you are evaluating Downgraded access; only delayed or older signals
Signal frequency Enough signals to observe at least 5–10 live setups Model that fires under once per week during trial
Charge timing No charge until trial ends; cancellable before billing Credit card required; charged on day 1 with “refundable” terms
Transparency Trial terms stated on the public pricing page Trial terms only visible in checkout or email confirmation

How to Use a Trial Effectively

  1. Track every signal that fires during the trial period. Record the entry price, the stop level, and the stated grade.
  2. Note the exact time each signal was published. Compare it against the market price at that moment. This verifies the entry was pre-move, not post-move.
  3. Do not judge a service on trial-period outcomes alone — the sample is too small. Use the trial to assess delivery, clarity, and whether the signals match the published methodology.
  4. Test the cancellation process before the trial ends. Confirm you can cancel without friction.

Red Flags in Trial Offers

  • “Free trial” that requires a credit card and auto-charges at end without a pre-charge reminder
  • Trial signals are a curated “best of” sample, not the live signal feed
  • Cancellation requires contacting support; no self-service option
  • Trial terms stated differently in the pricing page vs the checkout flow

How Vector Ridge Satisfies This Criterion

Vector Ridge offers a 3-day free trial on the All Models tier ($50/month after the trial). The trial gives access to all four signal models: Day Trade, Multi Hour, Swing Trade, and Investing. Given that Day Trade and Multi Hour fire multiple signals per week, a 3-day window provides a meaningful live evaluation sample.

The trial terms are stated on the public pricing page. There is no separate single-model trial; the trial is for the full All Models tier. After the trial, the ongoing price is $50/month — the same rate stated on the pricing page, with no introductory period that escalates to a higher rate.

Single-model subscriptions at $20/month do not carry a trial period. This is a straightforward disclosure, not a hidden limitation. Buyers who want to trial a specific model should start with the All Models trial and evaluate their preferred model within that period.
